Geophysics is a scientific discipline that typically uses the differences between the natural physical properties of constituents of the earth and the physical properties of other natural or manmade constituents in the earth to map boundaries of interest. Usually, geophysics is used to "see" inside the earth without excavating. Environmental Geology, as it is intended here, is a scientific discipline used to better understand the nature of the earth and associated water in an area of environmental interest. Chemical Fate and Transport involves the modeling of changes in a chemical's properties and the path it follows as it moves through the environment.
